Frequently Asked Questions
-
I support families with babies, toddlers, and young children (up to age 8). Because sleep needs change so much with development, every plan is tailored to your child’s age, temperament, and current routines.
-
Some families may be able to request reimbursement, but coverage is not guaranteed. Harbor Light Sleep Consulting services are not automatically considered HSA/FSA eligible, and approval depends on your individual benefits plan. In certain situations, reimbursement may require documentation from your child’s medical provider showing that support is medically necessary. We always recommend checking with your HSA/FSA administrator and tax professional before purchasing services.
-
In many cases, families can get started right away. Once your package is booked, I’ll guide you through the next steps and let you know what I need in order to begin building your child’s personalized sleep plan.
-
Every child is different, so I never promise overnight results. That said, many families begin noticing meaningful improvement within the first few days when they are able to stay consistent with the plan and support. Most children are sleeping beautifully within 1-2 weeks!

Yes. I work with families virtually across the United States and internationally, and I also offer in-person support throughout Maryland and the greater DMV area.
-
This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. When you work with me, you receive individualized guidance based on your child’s sleep history, developmental stage, personality, and your family’s goals. You also have personal support along the way, rather than trying to figure everything out on your own.

I have 7 years experience as a Pediatric Sleep Consultant and have supported over 500 families. I am certified through the renowned Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting program. I have a Masters degree in Elementary Education and I am licensed educator in the state of Maryland.
-
My approach is centered on responsive, family-focused support. I believe healthy sleep and secure attachment can go hand in hand, and I work closely with families to choose strategies that feel both effective and aligned with their comfort level and parenting values.
-
You are not alone. Many of the families I work with come to me feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. My role is to help you sort through the big picture, identify what may be contributing to the sleep struggles, and create a realistic plan that feels supportive and sustainable.
-
Because of the time, care, and customization involved in creating each family’s sleep plan and support, packages are non-refundable. My goal is always to provide thoughtful, high-touch support and a plan that is tailored specifically to your child and family.
